INTERACTER

INTERACTER is our original multi-platform user-interface and graphics subroutine library for Fortran 77/9x developers. Single source INTERACTER programs can be ported between Windows, DOS, Unix and VMS. INTERACTER employs a generic user interface, which is compatible with both graphical and character displays. It provides about 500 routines to handle menus, data entry forms, text windows, mouse input, graphics primitives, presentation graphics, graphics hardcopy, operating system interface, etc. The INTERACTER Toolkit is also included, providing a collection of add-on utility programs for developers and their end users. Distribution of INTERACTER-based programs and selected Toolkit utilities is royalty-free. Technical support via email is also free.

While we now recommend our newer Winteracter product for new applications, INTERACTER remains available for the benefit of the following developers:

• Users of Fortran 77 compilers
• Developers who still need to target platforms not supported by Winteracter
• Porters or maintainers of existing INTERACTER based applications needing to support new compilers/platforms
